The institution is globally recognized for its top-notch engineering and computer science programs. **Georgia Tech's Admissions Approach** Georgia Tech takes a holistic approach to admissions, considering both academic achievement and personal characteristics that demonstrate preparedness, resilience, and initiative. **Navigating the Admissions Process: A Step-by-Step Guide** **Step 1: The Application** Georgia Tech accepts both the Common Application and Coalition Application. Along with the standard sections on these platforms, you'll have to complete Georgia Tech-specific questions and essays. **Step 2: [Academic Records](https://www.admithero.com/blog/the-comprehensive-guide-to-transcripts-in-college-applications)** Submit official high school transcripts and any dual-enrollment college transcripts. These documents will highlight your academic performance and course rigor. **Step 3: [Standardized Test Scores](https://www.admithero.com/blog/act-vs-sat-which-test-should-you-take)** While Georgia Tech has adopted a test-optional policy for the Fall 2023 admissions cycle, you can submit SAT or ACT scores if you believe they strengthen your application. **Step 4: [Letters of Recommendation](https://www.admithero.com/blog/guide-to-requesting-letters-of-recommendation-for-college-applications)** You'll need one recommendation letter from a school counselor and one from a teacher. Choose individuals who know you well and can speak to your abilities and character. **Step 5: Supplemental Essay** Georgia Tech requires a supplemental essay that reflects your interest in the institute and how you plan to contribute to its community. **Quick Tips for Success** - **Time Management:** Start your application process early. This will give you ample time to craft your essays and gather necessary documents. - **Show Interest:** Make sure your essays reflect why Georgia Tech is the right fit for you, and how you intend to leverage its resources. - **Highlight Your Strengths:** Your application is a platform to showcase your academic achievements, leadership skills, community involvement, and unique experiences. Remember, the key to a successful application to Georgia Tech is demonstrating your passion for learning, your readiness for rigorous academic life, and your potential to contribute positively to their community. Best of luck!
